6 Scalp Massager Benefits
I love scalp health, I love anything that brings relaxation, and I love nice clean hair.
Recently, I purchased two scalp scrubbers from amazon to use on my clients during their wash at the salon.
I’ve only been using them for a week and they absolutely love them so far.
Why Scalp Massagers?
All of a sudden I began seeing scalp scrubbers everywhere. On Amazon, on Instagram, on Youtube, you name it. I looked into them, their benefits, and wondered what the rave was about.
I figured if scalp massagers came with scalp health benefits I would definitely incorporate them into my clients’ shampoo routine. According to my research, they definitely do come with scalp and hair benefits.
6 Scalp Massager Benefits
Cleansing: Scalp massagers help deep cleanse the hair by removing dirt, excess oil and product buildup from the scalp. Deep cleansing your hair and scalp can help improve hair health and reduce/prevent dandruff.
Exfoliation: Scalp massagers gently exfoliate the scalp, helping to keep pores from clogging and helping remove any dryness at the scalp.
Relaxation: Massaging the scalp with a scrubber is relaxing and can help relieve stress, while also potentially reducing tension headaches.
Product Absorption: Scalp massagers enhance the absorption of hair products, such as shampoos and conditioners by allowing them to work more effectively.
Blood Circulation: Massaging the scalp with a scrubber improves blood flow to the scalp, which can contribute to healthier hair follicles.
Enhanced Hair Growth: Regular use of a scalp massager may promote hair growth by stimulating the hair follicles.
Who should own a scalp massager?
Personally, I would say everyone should own a scalp scrubber. They feel great, are inexpensive, and have great benefits.
However, not everyone needs one. It is totally personal preference if you would like to add a scrubber to your hair care routine or not.
Here are some factors to consider on whether or not you should own a scalp massager.
Hair and scalp type: If you have a dry or flaky scalp, a scalp scrubber would be a great addition to your hair routine as they help exfoliate the scalp.
However, if your scalp is generally healthy, it may not be necessary.
Products use: If you use a lot of hair products, a scalp scrubber would be beneficial for you. A scalp scrubber would help cleanse and remove buildup at the time of washing your hair.
Personal Preference: If you just enjoy the sensation of a scalp massage, you will love a scalp massager.
Hair care routine: If you have a simple hair care routine or a routine that is already giving you results you are satisfied with, a scalp massager may not be a priority. On the other hand, if you are looking to enhance your hair care, it could be a useful addition.
Conclusion
I was surprised by the feedback I got as soon as I began using my new scalp massagers. I believe people were thinking it was just going to be an simple addition but everyone reacted with “wow, that actually feels amazing.”
I can significantly see the scalp receiving much more blood flow than when I just massage with my hands.
I will keep you update on any significant results I see on any of my clients within the next few months.
For now, let’s just enjoy the sensation of a scalp massage, a clean scalp, and healthy hair!
